Shirky e il Web Semantico

Ottimo post del solito Shirky sull'inutilità della semantica nel web:

The great popularizer of this error was Arthur Conan Doyle, whose Sherlock Holmes stories have done more damage to people's understanding of human intelligence than anyone other than Rene Descartes."

Mettere d'accordo due persone sul significato delle cose è impossibile? Il significato è sempre un fatto personale non condivisibile? Non si possono estrapolare i fatti dal loro contesto? Aspetto con interesse la risposta dei promotori del web semantico.
